Day Hike through Turkey Creek Wildlife Sanctuary

Turkey Creek Wildlife Sanctuary is a small nature reserve located in Palm Bay, Florida and is open to the public with no entrance fee. It has a combination of salt hammocks and sand pine habitats as well as a nature center and Turkey Creek that winds through it. You can hike one of the many trails located in the reserve or you can paddle through it giving you a different perspective and allowing you to see the abundance of wildlife from the water. There is also a canoe/kayak deck which allows you to paddle into the sanctuary then leave your boat to do some hiking.

Turkey Creek is a great place to spend a few hours in nature whether you are on foot or paddling. I recommend doing both to get a the most out of your visit.
